Personal + Executive Assistant to CEO/Producer

We are a tight-knit group that thrives within our supportive team environment. This position will report to the CEO/Owner and work alongside our in-house team and external freelance network.

The New Black is seeking an experienced Executive/Personal Assistant to collaborate closely with a busy mom and Business Owner/CEO in the Creative Media Production space. This is a multi-faceted role that requires someone highly organized and proactive with a passion for being a right-arm, high-quality assistant. You’ll work autonomously to problem-solve daily needs and work cross-functionally across your Executive's business and personal life, alike. It's important that you are happy to take on whatever is necessary, from the big projects to the small errands, across the scope of being a personal assistant to a business-focused EA.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience who has supported an executive — familiarity with the creative industry or in production a plus.


  • Provide dedicated support across both professional business projects and personal/family life.
  • Assist the Business Owner with various personal tasks including running errands, shopping/returns, handling correspondence, and managing household matters, as needed.
  • Manage and maintain the calendar with scheduling and meeting setting with the internal business team, external partners, and personal appointments.
  • Screen and prioritize emails and other correspondence, responding on behalf of the Business Owner, when necessary.
  • Lead administrative support for the Business Owner and perform ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
  • Conduct research and gather information on various topics as assigned by the Business Owner.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.


  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar role supporting senior executives or business owners.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, including remotely, at the business office/studio, travel to on-set locations, as well as to the Business Owner’s residence.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled relationship builder with superior communication and collaboration skills, adept at managing complex interactions and aligning various entities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace and other relevant software.
  • Strong ability to anticipate needs
  • Problem-solving mindset, particularly in undefined situations, characterized by innovative thinking.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing priorities and work schedules.
  • Kind, honest, and humble - overall, you have a positive outlook and possess an unwaveringoptimistic attitude bwith a passion for helping others!

Full-time; $25-$35/hr; will be eligible for medical benefits after a trial period
