People Operations Data Analyst

The Opportunity at Volta Charging

The purpose of this role is to be the People data expert, data auditor, and analytics guru for all things People data. This role will be responsible for making sure that data is accurate in all systems using Bamboo HR as the employee data system of record


In your first 90 days, you will:

  • The expectation for the first 90 days will be to quickly understand the current systems that maintain employee data, and then to start reviewing and auditing data between systems. Once the data has been reviewed, there will need to be a data standards guide for how data will be managed in each system, how data audits will work, and to initiate and manage an ongoing data audit cadence. In addition, this person will need to understand our current analytics as well as our future state vision for analytics and dashboards.


After twelve months, you will have accomplished

  • Over the next 12 months this role will be responsible for supporting the evolution of data management as systems continue to change and shift. There will be future system implementations and make sure that the data audits evolve to fit this changing need. In addition, this person will also be responsible for:
  • Assuring HRIS data integrity by performing routine audits to job, position, payroll and benefits data. Communicates and corrects data discrepancies as necessary.
  • Works closely with People Analyst for data uploads and corrections.
  • Works with leadership on ad hoc reporting requests, including monthly reporting requests.
  • Designs, develops and maintains interactive dashboards for People metrics. Supports the preparation of effective and high-quality presentations to clearly communicate findings, insights and recommendations related to People data.
  • Develops and documents processes and/or procedures for continuous improvement and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.


What you bring to Volta Charging:

  • Individuals should have a focus on data management and analytics. This individual should also be tech savvy with the ability to learn how to navigate a variety of technologies particularly in the area of reporting. They will need to be able to build relationships inside the organization as well as with some external vendors. They will also need to have an extremely good attention to detail and the ability to focus on multiple priorities and deliverables. Additional competencies include:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software related to Human Resources Information Systems HRIS) such as PeopleSoft and/or Oracle and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, mathematical, independent thinker, planning and organizational skills, customer service, attention to detail solid follow-up and follow-through.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately communicate with a wide range of individual constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including translating technical language to a non-technical nature.
