People Manager

Dotdash is looking for a human-centric People Manager, a senior HRBP who thinks strategically and uses data to help their business make decisions. As People Manager, you will be planning and facilitating organizational change, advising managers on employee relations, building development programs, and partnering with the rest of the People team to support the growth of Dotdash. You will empower team members and stakeholders to bring their best selves to work. This role reports to the Associate Director, People


About Your Contributions:

  • Provide proactive advice and consultation to team members and managers to build and maintain Dotdash’s high performing teams and culture
  • Deeply understand the work of the teams you support with a finger on the pulse of priorities, strengths, and areas of opportunity
  • Drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency in employee matters, always striving for increased employee engagement and retention
  • Support managers and team members to make decisions while incorporating your understanding of the greater business goals and priorities 
  • Collaborate with your People team and cross-functional colleagues to deliver training programs that foster our inclusive environment and facilitate growth opportunities for participants
  • Build upon the existing framework while developing a personalized strategy for effective management and performance management practices within the business you support
  • Suggest best practices on an as-needed basis to stay aligned with business needs
  • Play an integral role in guiding change management with leaders and team members through strong communication and cross-team synchrony


About You:

  • Minimum 5 years as an HR business partner or generalist, preferably at a company that has experienced rapid and sustained growth
  • Data-driven with proven experience applying metrics to implement change in an organization
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance in the US and our international locations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to self-start and self-direct work; comfort dealing with ambiguity
