Payroll Compliance Analyst

Reporting to the Payroll Compliance Manager, the Payroll Compliance Analyst will resolve the root cause of problems and issues and facilitate to evaluate and improve processes. Work collaboratively across multiple functions to improve the customer experience. Adhere to compliance regulations and best practices. The incumbent will analyze and evaluate systems and/or processes and functional requirements, recommend and implement changes to business processes.


What you will do:

  • Ensure compliance with emerging Country, and Jurisdictional Employment regulations
  • Summarize and monitor state/federal labor activities; and prepare critical reports, tables
  • Compliance with new or updated Nutrien Policies and programs
  • Work with IT resources when necessary to analyze current configuration changes needed, test, and implement of all updates to conform to new or changed compliance risks
  • Direct and train payroll staffs as required with the proper documentation and procedures
  • Payroll interruption Root Cause and Follow up
  • Identification of process improvements
  • Prepare monthly reports and metrics like off-cycles requests, payroll interruption reasons etc.
  • Advice and support for Union contract time administration

 

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years of multi-states compliance
  • 3+ years of payroll systems and time systems experience.
  • CPP preferred
  • Knowledge of FLSA, State for US and Province Department of Labor standards for Canada
  • Experience with SAP payroll systems, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel advance etc.)
  • Experience with the US and CAN payroll processing
  • Knowledge of payroll practice, laws, and regulation across multiple states
  • Experience in troubleshooting and testing payroll problems
  • Ability to collaborate ad work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results
  • Experience in training and providing support to team members
  • Highly critical thinking with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $53,760 - $73,920. This range is estimated for a Payroll Analyst in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
