Payroll Assistant

Irving, TX

The Payroll Assistant supports the daily operations of the Company’s Payroll Team by performing various administrative and clerical tasks and activities.


1.   Assists in administering the Company’s payroll processes through the third-party vendor by maintaining payroll information in the payroll system by collecting and entering data, as well as retrieving data, as directed.

2.   Handles incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution of incoming mail, screening and sorting items as directed, and preparing overnight and special mail delivery packages.

3.   Completes payroll forms and responds to payroll-related inquiries from relevant government and/or regulatory agencies.

4.   Provides customer service and promotes customer satisfaction by responding via phone or email support boxes to routine team member questions, concerns, issues, and requests, researching and resolving problems or payroll errors, and following up to communicate resolutions. Escalates more complex issues to appropriate team member.

5.   Assists the team with messaging, writing, editing, researching and related support for external and internal communications.

6.   Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the Company’s employee personnel and related legal files in an orderly and efficient manner by scanning and inserting documents, making file contents available on request as appropriate to team members, managers, or in response to legal subpoenas, complying with document retention policies, and routinely auditing files for completeness.

7.   Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
