Partner Sales Director

Remote (Texas, United States)

Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Alliances, the Partner Sales Director is a growth role supporting Material in establishing commercial partnerships that generate revenue opportunities, help broaden our capabilities and increase client impact. The Partner Sales Manager will be pivotal in leveraging SaaS platform partnerships focused on our research and insights, data and analytics, customer experience, product innovation and cloud transformation services. Responsibilities include driving partner-initiated leads and co-selling relationship with the technology partner, interfacing and contributing deeply with the Material+ sales and accounts teams. This person will combine a passion for sales and business development with a genuine interest in building authentic relationships which generate growth.

In this role, you will

  • Discover, qualify and deliver early-stage sales pipeline, working closely with the Tech Partner fields sales organization and equivalent partner service stakeholders
  • Possess a hunter mentality to continuously educate and inspire a global expansive tech organization to recommend M+ services/solutions to its clients
  • Help support and execute the partner regional strategy which includes enablement, driving net new revenue, supporting strategic go-to-market plays, working cross-functionally and collaboratively both internally and externally
  • Progress and monitor partner attributed pipeline to closure, dealing with escalations as needed
  • Facilitate relationships between partners and Material sales and capability leads
  • Formulate solutions to meet the unique business needs of clients and effectively position the same
  • Build successful partnerships with various account teams to identify, develop and close new business

About you

  • 5-8 years’ experience in direct or alliance sales, preferably with a marketing services agency or marketing technology platform company
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of professional services selling and the ability to build and sustain long term relations with partners and clients to drive revenue
  • Experience with alliance partner technology/solutions
  • Established contacts and relationships among likely platform partners
  • Ability to understand client business issues and match them to service capabilities/revenue opportunities
  • Ability to overcome objections and obstacles to win the business, develop and execute a targeted relationship and account development strategy
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
  • Thrive in an unstructured and evolving team and organizational environment
  • Project executive presence and professionalism sufficient to interact with C-level executives and senior partners
  • Meet significant targets and goals with minimal oversight and direction on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis
  • Experience with Qualtrics, Medallia, Salesforce, Acquia, Sitecore, and/or Adobe a plus
