Paid Internship - Environmental Sustainability

Corona, CA

Monster Energy is seeking a motivated and talented Environmental Sustainability Intern to join us for our 12-week paid summer internship. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard-working and with a high level of attention to detail. They will demonstrate a professional demeanor, work well with others and have strong written and verbal communications skills.


Essential Job Functions: 

  • The Sustainability Intern will support Monster’s ongoing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory work, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
  • This role will assist with collecting data for corporate sustainability reporting
  • Assist Director with content development for meetings with subject matter experts to measure and document energy, water and recycling opportunities and risks.
  • Assist with the implementation of Monster’s sustainability software platform
  • Intern will collaborate with a variety of management levels on various sustainability projects


Job Requirements: 

  • Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science and/or Sustainability related Undergraduate or Graduate program
  • 3.0 GPA- highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience conducting research
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
