Order Management Analyst

Snowflake is adding to its world-class accounting and finance organization and is looking for a top-notch Analyst, Order & Accounting Operations to join our team. The position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. This is an interdisciplinary position that is responsible for global order management, billing, licensing and compliance, and cash collections. In this position, you will partner closely with Sales Ops, Revenue, Collections, Legal Operations, and Tax.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Responsible for audit and processing of sales orders, including new partner and customer setup, sales order creation, and invoice processing using Workday Financials (our billing system) and Salesforce
  • Consult and collaborate with Sales Ops and Revenue on non-standard contract terms to ensure orders are processed completely, accurately, timely, and in compliance with the company’s bookings and standard policy and revenue recognition guidelines
  • Regularly monitor orders that are stuck / in unbooked status in the ERP and help resolve issues by raising them with the relevant stakeholders
  • Reconcile monthly bookings and billing reports for management reporting
  • Monitor bounce backs / Order cancellations immediately after month/quarter-end close and report these to revenue accounting teams
  • Establish strong relationships with Sales Ops, Revenue, Collections, Legal Operations groups and become subject matter expert in regards to Order Management
  • Work with business users and cross-functional teams to identify problems, process gaps, and assist in on-going process improvements on order processing, deal closure, invoicing, and collections workflows.
  • Propose reasonable and creative solutions to improve workflows (including opportunities to automate manual processes/activities) based on quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Assist with the creation and preparation of schedules and ad hoc reports regarding key metrics for management review
  • Assist with Billing and Collections to resolve all invoicing issues promptly
  • Partner with external tax advisors to monitor and reconcile transaction sales tax billings and tax nexus, collections and tax filings
  • Create process documentation, namely Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and update them at regular intervals in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide the required audit support (external, internal, and SOX) as and when required but primarily during the monthly/quarter and year-end.


WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance required
  • 5-6 years of work experience in billing, collections, or order fulfillment in a multinational company
  • A team player who excels at building relationships across the organization while adhering to tight deadlines with a positive demeanor
  • Required to work shifts to overlap with US time zones on critical days of month / quarter / year-end close
  • Salesforce, Vertex and Workday Financials ERP experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and the ability to proactively manage his or her own work streams as needed
  • Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes
