Hi there, we’re Article. đź‘‹ We’re an online furniture company, renowned for its home delivery experience. As a Delivery Supervisor, you’ll supervise our Home Delivery Drivers and dispatchers.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be leading a team of 10-20 Home Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers including:

  • Hiring, leading, coaching, and supporting home delivery and dispatch teams
  • Creating a culture of safety 
  • Overseeing local procurement and interacting with vendors including those providing trucks, repair, fuel, insurance, uniforms, telecommunications, and more
  • Maintaining and reporting on KPIs related to safety, customer service, and productivity
  • Setting expectations and providing support to the warehouse team and ensuring compliance with Article policies and regulations
  • Determining staffing levels and assigning workload
  • Identifying areas of improvement and establishing innovative or adjusting existing work procedures and practices
  • Partnering with other departments to execute new initiatives and issue resolution
  • Investigating, reporting, and acting on safety or customer service issues
  • Monitoring hours worked, overtime, and ensuring accurate submission of payroll
  • Maintaining driver and vehicle logs.
  • Developing future leaders on the team to support our growth - you are always sharing your knowledge with the rest of the team
  • Embodying and demonstrating Article's values and principles in all decision-making and actions
  • Maintaining good housekeeping in work areas
  • Perform delivery or dispatch operations for the purpose of training, accommodating significant business surges or staff shortages


Who You Are:

  • 3+ years experience in any area related to pickup and delivery services, moving, or residential delivery
  • Front-line experience delivering furniture to residences or in the moving business
  • Route dispatch experience within the respective region
  • 1 year of direct customer interaction/service in any field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience with a final mile delivery team of 15-20 drivers
  • Valid Driver's License


The preferred candidate would also possess:

  • 2 Years of experience driving trucks over 16 feet or operating heavy equipment
  • Good driving record with no serious infractions
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug test
