Operations Specialist

Austin, TX

The Operations Specialist will join us at our flagship location at South Congress in Austin, Texas. An integral part of the store leadership team, the Operations Specialist oversees most of the important activities that happen in the “back of house” to keep our business running smoothly. We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and professional team player who is eager to contribute to a growing Neighborhood Goods community.


What You’ll Do

As our Operations Specialist, you oversee critical activities to keep our business running smoothly. These activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and control inventory, including
  • Tracking inventory forms for incoming inventory from our brand partners and communicating with brands about inventory status
  • Receiving and inbounding inventory
  • Tagging inventory with accurate pricing,barcode labels and security tags
  • Collaborating with in-store merchandising team for brand launches, including back stock organization and floor allocation
  • Cycle counting / physical inventory
  • Transferring product between stores and back to vendor
  • Conducting training for other associates on inventory management processes as needed
  • Fulfill eCommerce orders as well as “Buy online and Pickup In Store” orders
  • Understanding how our in-store technology works on a basic level and providing level 1 troubleshooting when needed
  • Managing adherence to Neighborhood Goods operational policies and procedures, recommending changes and implementing approved updates  


Who You Are

  • Analytical and natural problem solver
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Google sheets
  • Comfortable with utilizing modern business software to efficiently operate a retail store and eCommerce platform
  • Collaborative team player
  • Able to work flexible schedules
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
  • Able to adapt to changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to to grow along with a quickly growing company
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations/logistics for a retail or consumer products company preferred
