Divsion Information

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Aftermarket support includes customer call centers operating 24 hours a day throughout the year and technologically advanced systems to enhance inventory control and expedite order processing.


Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for supporting world-class customer service from the North American Parts Distribution Center (PDC) network by managing the vendor compliance program and driving resolution of Quality issues/concerns throughout the supply chain.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Vendor Compliance Program, including annual reviews and enhancements to the Aftermarket Packaging Guidelines on SIS. Work with Suppliers on coaching and development of corrective action plans to mitigate impact to PDC receiving processes, gaining support from Product Marketing and Corporate Purchasing on implementation plans. Review trends in supplier infractions and manage any approvals on infraction disputes, debit disputes, and waiver/exemption requests.
  • Serve as primary Operations contact regarding any inventory quarantine requests from Product Marketing or Materials. Ensure PDC Quality teams have all relevant information and coordinate all communication streams with other departments, including the coordination of any Vendor Returns.
  • Provide leadership to PDC Quality teams, ensuring a consistent approach to all quality related matters. Serve as primary contact for any cycle count discrepancies, non-available (quarantined), receiving exceptions, and vendor shipping policies/guidelines. Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the PDC network by leading and mentoring quality metric focused projects. Qualifications & Skills
  • Maintain and develop supplier training on the Aftermarket Packaging Guidelines, with a primary focus the efficiency dependency of distribution network receiving process on a world-class supply base. Work with new suppliers to clearly define PPD's expectations and alleviate on-boarding issues.
  • Work with Warranty, EZTrac and Credits & Returns to assist resolution of inventory quality issues that arise in the dealer network. Serve as Operations liaison for dealer claim processing, representing the distribution network in future customer facing initiatives and assist Customer Service groups in developing training materials for the network.
  • Support communication for accurate loading of cross-references for PPD part numbers, and ownership for loading any UPC cross-references. Support dealer barcoding initiative for dealership efficiencies, in addition to loading part number translation tables monthly.   
  • Benchmarking industry initiatives occuring in the supply base, including benchmarking practices with PPE Operations Quality Manager. Attend conventions and seminars as needed. PPD representative for ISO 9001 system and participation in Internal Audits. Serve as backup for Operations Support Manager.


Skills

  • Strong proficiency in AS400 WH
  • Proficient with software applications Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment with little to no supervision
  • Ability to influence others through clear communication of expectations and strong negotation skills
  • Ability to present and communicate to all levels of management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related area. Masters Degree a plus
  • ISO 9001 experience in a large distribution environment
  • Minimum 1-2 years program management experience. Strong negotiation skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years supply chain experience, PDC Operations experience a plus
  • Experience with Total Quality Management System (TQM) a plus
  • Proven track record of project completion. Ability to lead and coordinate project teams
  • Certified Six Sigma Belt. Trained in DMAIC & TDFSS
  • Travel up to 5-10%, visiting 3-4 PDCs annually
