Operations Performance & Design Consultant

Dallas, TX

Internal Management Consultant responsible for supporting the strategy, analysis, design, and implementation of operational performance approaches that aim to achieve positive and sustainable results. Supports Operations and Commercial departments to align People, assets and network to reduce cost and complexity, and maximize revenue opportunities. Ensures the Operations perspective is understood and considered as part of Commercial and Enterprise decisions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing strategies and business insights from qualitative and quantitative information
  • Help structure complex problems and act to holistically solve them
  • Create value through identifying and implementing business improvements
  • Develop well-written presentations that are clear and convey key information, including business cases, roadmaps and other materials that support alignment efforts
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and lead meetings with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Support special programs and initiatives that arise from unique operational challenges
  • Communicate timelines, risks, issues, key decisions to multiple stakeholders
  • Encourage consensus among multiple parties with conflicting and diverse viewpoints
  • Build confidence and sustain trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leader


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding and applying information to contribute to the organizations strategic plan
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • The ability to effectively listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to quickly understand assignments and complete them with minimal leadership oversight
  • Skilled in visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as think-cell, MS Excel etc.
  • Skilled in synthesizing information within PowerPoint presentations and delivering them to affected stakeholders


Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree


Experience

  • Intermediate experience and knowledge in:
  • Management Consulting
  • Leading complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders at all levels
  • Developing strategies, plans, and solutions to address complex or ambiguous problem


Licensing/Certification

  • N/A

 

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job


Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
