Operations Manager

The AGCO Parts Division has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Operations Manager to join its management team in delivering extraordinary results at the Batavia Parts Distribution Center in Batavia, IL. The Batavia PDC is the master distribution center for North America operating around the clock to serve internal and external customers on a global scale. This is a role with growth potential and developmental opportunities. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our dealership network.

 

This candidate will manage the operations of commercial and storehouse facilities, in order to ensure efficiency to help drive profitability. A warehouse operations manager is also accountable for all activities relating to the receipt and storage of goods and inventory. The candidate will supervise and conduct administrative activities relating to order filling, stock replacement, shipping, budgeting, inventory management, and managing warehouse staff.

  

What you will do:

  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Guide the processes of receiving and dispatch of goods from the warehouse.
  • Coordinate warehouse staff, including coaching, development, etc
  • Design and develop product moves and storage systems.
  • Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Grow warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
  • Grow warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • 6+ years of people management experience in warehousing, processing, manufacturing, or field operations

 

A plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of distribution, warehousing or logistics systems
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Lean/6-Sigma training

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds, for distances up to 50 feet, occasionally, as needed to assist subordinates.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on various surfaces frequently; typically up to 80% of each working day.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, turn, and maintain other related body postures occasionally as necessary to perform certain job duties (i.e. Operating plant equipment).
  • Must be able to climb 1 to 3 steps frequently and one flight of stairs occasionally, depending on assigned work area.
  • Must be able to visually inspect and locate parts and materials, as well as to read required documentation.
