We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Processing team in the role of Operations Manager!

 

As a Operations Manager you will….

  • Responsible for the operations support teams for investigations, change controls, SOP/process updates, and office support (both Bradford and Markham locations) 
  • Responsible for all manufacturing processes such as processing (but not limited to), trimming, vape filling, packaging as well as sanitation (Markham location) 
  • Facilitate implementation of new manufacturing procedures  
  • Works with product development team to ensure project success   
  • Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity 
  • Manage all work according to manufacturing schedule and maintain an inventory of materials and completion of all projects with required timeframe. 
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss. 
  • Support by completing safety inspections on the manufacturing area as well as being involved in incident investigation and inspection programs. 
  • Work with the Health and Safety committee to ensure safe working conditions for all team members  
  • Develop team environment in department and resolve all packing issues in coordination with quality department. 
  • Coordinate with plant manager and evaluate all projects and recommend ways to reduce cost and improve quality of all processes and provide necessary training and counseling to employees as per requirement. 
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all external vendors and contractors and improve efficiency process through incorporation of new technology 
  • Manages weekly meeting structure and ensures team motivation  
  • Strives to meet daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual goals; reports on the status of goals to the General Manager  
  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with GMP practices  
  • Responsible for the generation of required SOPs, control forms, and validation protocols    
  • Other duties as required 

 

You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a processing environment or in a relevant industry, including food, health care, pharmaceuticals, etc. 
  • 4+ years’ experience in a GMP environment is preferred 
  • Must have experience managing/supervising staff 
  • Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to handle stress while performing multiple tasks. 
  • Must have ability to work independently and within a team environment 
  • Must have the ability to multi-task. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to achieve objectives. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
