Operations Manager

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of three analysts who will directly engage with suppliers 
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders who are part of the Wayfair Delivery Network (WDN) to identify, scope, and execute strategic projects
  • Coach, mentor, and assist in developing staff and their professional development
  • Motivate and engage team to hit/surpass key performance and activity metrics
  • Analyze trends to ensure strong performance and close performance gaps
  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring processes
  • Implement changes to internal process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work cross functionally with other teams to ensure best practices
  • Report to upper management on team performance, development, and improvement areas
  • Provide direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for process changes/improvements


What You'll Need

  • BA/BS in management, administration, supply chain, customer service, or 7+ years working experience
  • At least five years of people management experience, preferably in leading large teams
  • Comfort with delivering and improving upon KPI’s
  • A customer-centric approach, and the ability to build positive partnerships with internal and external groups to optimize performance.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solving mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Self-reliant and able to motivate others
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Experience in an ecommerce organization
