Operations Lead

Lyft is looking for a hands-on Operations Lead to directly manage Field Associates on the Lyft Bikes & Scooters team in Denver. Our Field Associates are part of a pioneering team of front line staff members for Lyft’s Transit, Bikes & Scooters line of business. The Operations Lead will be integral in co-creating the culture and foundation of a unique and innovative operating model. 


You will report to an Operations Manager and work together to dive into the details and manage your team and resources to execute on a vision and hit performance targets. You will achieve goals through performance management, while building process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.. This job is based in our Denver warehouse. This Leader will operate in an adjusted business hour format, which includes some days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations management of our central warehouse and maintenance facility in Denver, CO by leading front line staff team members. 
  • Lead the Overnight Field Associate team’s achievement of our KPIs and practices.
  • Manage and continuously develop your team of Field Associates by leading by example and putting your team’s success before your own.
  • Build new operational processes and refine playbooks to govern day-to-day operations including memorializing new workflows.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter - you naturally take ownership, look for opportunities, and do what it takes to drive results.
  • Coordinate workflows of Operations Associates, Field Associates, and Mechanics working in the facility or field in partnership with Operations Management Leaders.
  • Perform supplemental project work in one or more ownership categories assigned to you.
  • Contribute to overall team culture by fostering strong team cohesion, partnering with our Operations Experience Lead on team experience initiatives to further engrain Lyft’s Core Values, prioritizing inclusion and celebrating diversity. 
  • Occasionally perform physical tasks including moving, charging, and maintaining bikes and scooters.


Experience:

  • Experience supervising teams in a complex, fast-moving, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experienced in leading, developing, and building large-scale teams - preferably managing hourly/non-exempt workers in operations or customer service.
  • Experienced in driving results through performance management by identifying areas of opportunity, documenting performance and taking action on observed behaviors. 
  • Data analysis experience, able to dissect business issues, analyze large amounts of data, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed including working nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a get-it-done attitude.
  • Obsessed with process improvement.
  • Strong team player, but comfortable making decisions independently.
  • Detail-oriented and able to think creatively and critically.
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs; stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time preferred.
  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and OSHA experience is a plus.

For candidates living in Colorado the expected base pay range is $70,000-$85,000 and depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
