Operations Analyst

San Jose, CA

The Operations Analyst will be responsible for work that spans customer service and sales operations. They are expected to support cross-functionally and work on transactions, provide reports and in general keep an eye on the supply/demand interlock to ensure smooth operations for Sony Biotechnology Inc. 

 

This role is a 6 Month Temporary Assignment. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite per week in our San Jose office. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Keeping track of incoming customer orders – through web, email and phone 
  • Entering customer orders in ERP/Warehouse system and executing on them with speed and accuracy 
  • Create short-term demand forecast plan for customer service team and share weekly with Supply Chain team 
  • Meet with Supply chain on a weekly basis to ensure supply of products and accessories 
  • Accurately enter and track Service contracts and T&M orders in the systems 
  • Develop a good understanding of Service Revenue accounting to partner with finance on Billing and Revenue recognition 
  • Review Service contract T&Cs 
  • Review Service contract and T&M quoting 
  • Support Service Contract and T&M Billing 
  • Provide daily reports tracking all Customer Service activities 
  • Maintain regular contact with third-party logistics and warehouse teams and clearly communicate orders 
  • Be able to answer Customer Phone calls – clearly and precisely.  
  • Perform other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION 

Your qualifications and experience should include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or operations management 
  • Minimum three years of experience in supply chain or operations is desired 
  • Consistent track record in supply planning, inventory control and project execution 
  • Responsive and flexible self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • A team player with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good email etiquette 
  • Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Excel Macros, VB Script, Power BI and PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge in Epicor, SAP or other ERP system 
  • Attitude for continuous improvement 
  • Strong Communication skills 
  • Authorized to work in the US 

 

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $75,000.  The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. 


The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
