National Sale Manager


Remote National Sales Manager for Outdoor Apparel is responsible for achieving profitable growth through opening new accounts, sales increases, management of inventories, strengthening management relationships with accounts and problem solving, while maintaining the profit goals. 



  • Responsible for increasing sales revenue per budget as prepared and forecast 
  • Responsible for controlling inventories 
  • Conduct market research and communicate new opportunities to Merchandising 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with account management 
  • Interact with other departments to problem solve sales issues 
  • Maintain responsibility of P&L for Division 
  • Work with Design on all product lines to ensure proper merchandising to fit retail account needs
  • Provide monthly product forecast to wholesale planning to ensure proper inventory levels
  • Manage monthly door plan financial forecast for division review with senior management
  • Lead Sales Meetings in partnership with merchandising 
  • Create and manage market competitive sales programs to generate revenue while ensuring PEI profitability


  • Knowledge of retail sales process 
  • Ability to negotiate best prices for PEI’s products 
  • Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing 
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, and staff at all levels in the company
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Gmail 
  • Advanced knowledge of retail math 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in men's apparel sales with established relationships with key outdoor reatilers, REI, Dick's Sporting Goods, Backcountry...
