Marketing Strategist, Sr Manager

As a member of the Marketing Strategy & Operations team, this role will rely heavily on robust problem solving skills and analytical prowess to continuously identify ways to take Bumble and Badoo to users around the world. This role will work on projects that are highly cross-functional and will work closely with the Marketing Leadership team, the CMO, and cross functional teams - Business Intelligence, Research & Insights, Operations, Finance, to name a few. This role will analyze business trends, inform investment decisions, evaluate market opportunities, drive strategic projects from start to finish, and work with the organization to build scalable playbooks to drive sustained growth for our fast growing business. 


Location: This role will be based in our Austin or London office and will report to the VP of Marketing Strategy & Operations [based on Austin].


Key accountabilities: Analyzing market-specific strategic priorities and executions

  • Perform analysis using data from internal systems and draw conclusions that are communicated visually and / or in digestible formats
  • Collaborate with relevant marketing stakeholders to analyze past marketing performance and problem-solve potential commercial implications 
  • Monitor overall business performance against key metrics and provide insights to inform commercial decisions
  • Perform ad-hoc analytical support for various strategic projects or initiatives
  • Perform post-mortems on key marketing activations globally to inform future decisions


Key accountabilities: Executing on strategic priorities & projects

  • Working with market and channel leads to build scalable playbooks rooted it insight and analytics
  • Partnering with teams to build evaluation frameworks that align against company & marketing objectives
  • Identifying and partnering with integrated marketing teams to test scalable marketing strategies against priority audiences / geographies
  • Driving marketing launch strategies in test & learn markets and collaborating with internal stakeholders


Key accountabilities: Supporting in global marketing strategy planning

  • Support in creating cadence of planning and prioritization across marketing organization 
  • Develop executive-level materials for bi-weekly leadership meetings 
  • Partner with Finance, Analytics to build analysis to inform investment strategy across brands, geography, channel, audience
  • Coordinate changes [with Ops and Finance] to financial and headcount plans as strategic priorities evolve


Experience we are looking for:

  • MBA degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing or similar / equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years in management consulting, experience with technology / social connection platforms and / or consumer-facing go to market strategies
  • Clear and effective communication (verbal, written)
  • Analytical and creative problem solver – with the ability to understand art + science
  • Collaborative team member within Marketing and across non-marketing functions 
  • Independent thinker with an ownership mindset
  • Eager to learn and open to change & ambiguity
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint/Keynote
  • Experience working across time zones with remote teams preferred
