Marketing & Public Relations Analyst

Rockville, MD

Westat is seeking a highly skilled marketing and public relations professional with a strong focus on writing tasks that include creating compelling content for the web, press materials, factsheets and brochures, as well as client presentations.


This hands-on position also requires task planning, content and creative review, project execution, analysis, and reporting.


The ideal candidate will excel in uncovering insights and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) across a diverse organization to support our research and solutions for our clients.


This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement requiring 1 day on-site at our Rockville, MD office.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SMEs and the marketing team to support multi-channel thought leadership initiatives and products.
  • Develop and write engaging and compelling client presentations that effectively communicate our research and solutions.
  • Support marketing campaigns, including content creation, tracking, results reporting, and recommendations.
  • Assist in the execution of branding strategies by working closely with senior leaders and SMEs, creatives, content providers, and distribution partners.
  • Provide quality control of products and oversight for internal marketing processes and standards.
  • Review editorial calendar, resolve challenges, and investigate and recommend innovative tools for possible solutions.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and public relations roles.
  • Proven experience in writing and creating engaging presentations.
  • Experience in digital and print marketing, content and social marketing, and brand development.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the B2G industry and understanding of the federal contracting landscape.
