Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager, Creative Solutions (Athlete Storytelling/The Players’ Tribune) will be a pivotal member of a newly created pod in support of Minute Media and its portfolio of incredible content brands. This role will be dedicated to supporting the pre- and post-sale needs associated with Minute Media’s destination for first-person athlete storytelling, The Players’ Tribune, and athlete storytelling more generally across the organization. While the focus will be on pre-sale ideation and the creation of proposal decks for clients, we are also looking for someone comfortable in leading the post-sale activation of said programs.

What You'll Do

This role truly will be a key cornerstone in ideation and creative thinking that will help to continue to push The Players’ Tribune to new heights.

  • Overseeing the development of reactive and proactive brand partner responses
  • Ideating custom solutions and working with internal stakeholders (branded content, media planning, production, athlete relations, etc.) to refine those ideas for our clients
  • Working closely with senior Creative Solutions management on proactive projects around key brand tent poles for The Players’ Tribune
  • Leading internal communication across production, branded content, tech, insights and sales to successfully activate brand partnerships; Managing external client communication as it relates to the execution of the campaign
  • Creating performance reports and recaps during and after campaign


What You Have

  • 3+ years of experience in pre-sale and post-sale creative solutions/integrated marketing/brand marketing, ideally at a digital publisher, streaming service or creative agency; Knowledge of sports a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, and extremely detail-oriented
  • Experience leading brainstorms and conceptualizing around a range of sales categories (CPG, Grooming, Auto, Luxury, etc.)
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience weaving in RFP language to create customized submissions
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with branded campaign metrics and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Expertise at Keynote and PowerPoint
