Marketing Manager

The Perry Ellis and Original Penguin Marketing manager plays a lead role in the development of marketing and PR programs/activations, manages all e-commerce, wholesale and retail activity, manages production of all PE photoshoots at all levels (brand, e-commerce, licensing, wholesale, retail), manages the brand’s relationship across all retail distribution channels and manages our public relations agency relationship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Public Relations
- Work closely with the head of marketing and communications on all PR strategy and activations
- Work closely with PR agency on weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals
- Daily management of Public Relations agency and requests
- In conjunction with agency, build relationships with editors to garner goodwill and promote product placement
- Manage PR outreach to meet editorial goals
- Track quarterly and annual impressions versus goals
- Working with our PR agency, oversee the product closet presentation to editors
Photoshoot Management
- Assist marketing team and coordinate with advertising agency in production of global brand image campaign Working with the head of marketing and communications, assist in monthly e-commerce product photography shoots – model selection, style outs and approvals, brand style guide, etc
- Manage production, shot count, product selection, creative development, model selection and budgets of all in-house shoots - for use in PR, e-commerce, social media, wholesale and retail – still life and on figure
Event Management
- Manage production of all brand activations
- Coordinate efforts between production, PR agency, media agency, creative agency, design and other internal teams
- Manage production and post production needs
- Manage production of seasonal press events and/or fashion editor outreach
- Manage all other marketing events and activations as needed which includes in-store events, internal events, etc
Retail Marketing
- Manage coop guidelines and advertising with wholesale accounts
- Execute seasonal updates to all digital wholesale brand boutiques - Dillards.com, Macys.com, LordandTaylor.com, Belk, Bonton, TheBay.com,
- Service the needs of our boutique and .com accounts including amazon.com, asos.com, Equinox, etc
- Work closely with the Perry Ellis retail team on the development of assets and marketing programs for PE owned and operated stores
- Interface with internal sales teams to ensure seasonal creative needs are addressed.
- Conceptualize and execute all additional creative needs.
E-Commerce Marketing
- In partnership with the e-commerce team, oversee the development of all quarterly assets including homepage layouts, e-blasts, banners, messaging and overall site look/feel
- Serve as day to day liaison with e-commerce team on needs and requests
- Working with media team, develop social and digital creative for all programmatic media efforts
Travel
- This role will require 8 - 10 weeks of travel annually
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 year’s minimum experience in omnichannel marketing including but not limited to marketing, advertising, public relations, digital media, e-commerce marketing
- Experience in fashion or apparel retail is required
- Bachelor's degree is required; masters is a plus
- Experience in photoshoot production
- Strong product management background is preferred
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Strong copywriting and visual skills
- Knowledge of Google Docs - Google docs, spreadsheets, presentations, file sharing, etc. Additional computer skills: Adobe Acrobat Reader, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, scanning, resizing
