Marketing Director Brand Strategy

Wells Fargo is seeking a Marketing Director to lead Consumer & Small Business Banking Brand Strategy. The work will include defining a new brand strategy, platform and identity across channels, products, marketing, and experiences for Consumer & Small Business Banking.


This newly created role will report to the Head of CSBB Customer Strategy & Experience and will lead the team that operationalizes the new brand platform across the CSBB organization. This team will play a pivotal role shaping the way customers view, interact and bank with Wells Fargo.


In this role, you will:

  • Establish the CSBB Brand Strategy function including brand platform, strategy, governance, critical KPI/metrics, and operating/engagement model with stakeholders
  • Lead a multi-year strategic initiative to operationalize the CSBB Brand Platform across products, channels, marketing, and employees
  • Own the agency relationships that will operationalize and execute brand initiatives.
  • Establish the roadmap to re-define the CSBB brand’s identity, visual and verbal expression
  • Develop and implement overall Sponsorship strategy across products and segments that will bring the brand platform to life
  • Serve as a key partner with the Enterprise Brand Strategy team to integrate the CSBB brand into the broader enterprise brand strategy, ensure synergy and provide thought leadership on behalf of CSBB.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience developing and leading a brand strategy for a large, heavily matrixed organization or a top tier brand strategy agency.
  • 4+ years of Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing brand strategy at a large organization
  • Experience with diverse segments marketing
  • Experience leading and managing a large team
  • Financial Institution experience preferred
  • Experience developing and leading strategic discussions
  • Experience in influencing at multiple levels within the organization

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
