Marketing Coordinator

Position is located onsite full-time at The Shoppes at Grand Prairie- Peoria, IL*

Area of Responsibility Key Elements and Essential Tasks Time Spent on Task


  • Handle marketing event implementation
  • Update social media and web sites
  • Prepare contracts for events, displays, shows and sampling
  • Assist with event implementation
  • Track Certificates of Insurance for ancillary income programs
  • Assist in preparation of retailer memos and announcements
  • Install in-mall collateral as directed
  • Provide administrative help to other departments as requested Support the center’s marketing efforts to achieve property’s strategic goals.
  • Support development and effective execution of sales promotions, special events and internal and external communication strategies to drive tenant sales.
  • Management of all on-site events and promotions; both internal and external in coordination with the property team
  • Coordination and management of digital platforms with Marketing partners to support digital ad buys, website, social platforms and digital marketing tools to maximize tenant revenue and traffic
  • Assist in management of center’s PR & Media when required or requested
  • Coordination and maintenance of accurate and adequate signage to support events, promotions, operations and leasing efforts throughout the center
  • Assist in maintaining mall web site, email program, mobile program and social media program, as applicable.
  • Support the marketing plan; assist in monitoring the marketing budget, reforecasting and adjustments as needed to meet year-end projections.
  • Work with Regional Marketing Manager/Leasing Manager/Specialty Leasing Manager to ensure that leasing collaterals such as leasing packets, research data and fact sheets are current, complete and accurate.
  • Communicate with the client and regionals as needed or required. Elements of communication may include marketing for leasing, marketing for sales and marketing for revenue efforts.
  • Support the property team in efforts to maintain appropriate client and tenant satisfaction ratings
  • Monthly review of tenant sales reports to understand and adjust strategy to focus of maximizing revenue through ancillary income and tenant income
  • Ensure all Marketing efforts and deadlines are met on time
  • Other duties as assigned

Clerical and Support Function

  • Prepare memos to retailers advising of events, new stores, management updates, etc.
  • General filing
  • Invoice coding
  • Open and sort mail
  • Order marketing and event supplies
  • Prepare conference call minutes, staff meeting minutes, etc.
