Core responsibilities
Take the lead in telling our story to our employees and our sales and partner teams! We need a highly motivated writer who collaborates across teams to deliver high-impact content to inform, engage and activate our internal and partner associates with clear, concise stories in our ongoing newsletters, emails, portal presence, and associated communications. You will support planning and communications across various cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment, developing and executing on plans and content, in conjunction with the broader corporate communication and marketing teams.

In this role, you will:
Collaborate across departments and functions to inform and activate our internal and partner associates through a robust and flexible news program, writing and delivering mission-critical announcements and storylines to internal associates, and our field, ecosystem, customer and public audiences.
Write compelling, concise communications aligned to our brand voice to engage and enable our audiences, highlighting a clear call to action regarding Avaya solutions, programs, success stories, etc.
Work daily in our newsletter platform and other back-end communications tools including Generative AI platforms, and manage ongoing metrics, reporting assessments of results/effectiveness to measure progress toward objectives and identify and act on areas for improvement.
How the position fits within the organization
You’ll report into the Strategic and Integrated Communications team, which includes Internal Communications, Sales and Partner Communications, Executive and Strategic Messaging functions. Within our team, you will work closely with our Internal and Sale and Partner Communications functions, as well as Public Relations and Influencer relations, and our solutions marketing and events teams.

Previous experience & knowledge
- Direct experience and success writing for internal communications, marcomms or related roles.
- Understanding of business communications industry and cloud solutions highly preferred.
- Experience managing and working collaboratively on newsletters, cross-functional projects, and in digital content platforms.
- Proven success in managing multiple communications projects simultaneously and delivering with quality and attention to detail on tight deadlines.
Hard & technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable working in online newsletter platforms and content management systems
- Experience in project management systems like Monday
Soft skills & personality Traits
- A clear communicator who can cut through complexity for compelling, concise, action-oriented messages. Adept at tailoring communications to the needs of multiple audiences.
- A team player: cross-group collaboration skills and ability to drive coordination across all levels and stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, organized, agile and detail-oriented. You can prioritize and manage needs across a variety of projects and inputs to deliver on planned deadlines while also accommodating late-breaking needs.
- BA/BS in Journalism, English, Marketing or Communications and 5+ years of experience in a relevant industry.
Compensation
The pay range for this opportunity is from $76,700 to $103,600 + performance-related bonus + benefits
This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
