Marketing Automation Specialist

New York, NY

We are seeking a hardworking and experienced Marketing Automation Specialist to join our multifaceted marketing technology team. As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will play a meaningful role in developing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation strategies using the Braze platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and development to implement effective and personalized customer engagement.


YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Collaborate with the marketing teams, functional leads and business partners to understand their requirements and translate them into effective marketing automation strategies using Braze
  • Solution, implement, and maintain marketing automation workflows, campaigns, and programs using Braze's platform
  • Build sophisticated audience segments based on various criteria, ensuring detailed targeting and personalization
  • Analyze marketing data and provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to ensure consistent branding and user experience across marketing campaigns
  • Conduct A/B testing and optimization of marketing automation workflows to improve campaign performance and conversion rates
  • Supervise and analyze marketing automation metrics and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standard processes, and new features within marketing automation platforms, particularly Braze
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA) in marketing automation practices
  • Write and optimize liquid logic for dynamic content rendering and personalization within Braze (templates, In-app, SMS etc.)
  • Customize templates, content blocks, and campaigns/canvas within the Braze platform
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to marketing automation tools and integrations


YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing marketing automation strategies using the Braze platform (formerly Appboy) or similar platforms
  • Expertise in audience segmentation, with the ability to define and implement sophisticated targeting strategies based on customer behavior, preferences, and data insights
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and integration with marketing automation tools
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting using tools like Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
  • Proficient with data privacy regulations and best practices in marketing automation
  • Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization techniques
  • Great analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive concrete insights
  • Experienced in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with Braze APIs and SDKs for web and mobile app integrations
  • Proven ability to write code logic for dynamic content personalization
  • Experience in crafting and customizing email templates, content blocks, and landing pages within marketing automation platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to marketing automation implementation
  • Great communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams


BONUS POINTS

  • Certification in Braze or other marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sailthru or Iterable
  • Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction
  • Experience with mobile app development and SDK integration


Base Salary: $81,800.00 to $106,400.00


The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
