Marketing Analytics Manager

This role sits with the Marketing Analytics Services Team in Marketing Platform Services: The Company is transforming its approach and capabilities as it relates to marketing knowledge and specifically analytics discipline, to deliver insights that will enable competitively advantaged marketing initiatives that drive growth.


The Marketing Business Performance Manager is responsible for developing & providing industry retail and Shopper analytics across Marketing PS. This covers 3 core areas of data utilized by our teams: Scan/Retail Audit data (RMS/Scan Data) / Industry Estimates In Home Panel data (e.g., Kantar World Panel/GfK/Ipsos/Intage/Numerator/Nielsen, etc.) Consumer data e.g., Brand Health Tracking (Beach) 


What You’ll Do for Us:

ANALYSIS MANAGEMENT

  • Work with Category, FP&A and CCL teams to understand business questions, clarifying briefs/distilling to clear analysis approach then drive and deliver analytics, leveraging standard reporting frameworks, scorecards, and dashboards when applicable.
  • Identify and create new analytics solutions, connecting main business performance issues and shopper marketing disciplines.
  • Contribute to a deep integration of marketing, commercial and customer activities through the development of integrated analytics that holistically assess our business performance for our brands from consumers & shopper needs to channel/customer activation
  • Play a key role delivering support to key business challenges through data and analytics.
  • Lead analysis utilizing TCCC standard constructs e.g., Share Decomposition, Industry Forecasts, PITA analysis, Beach Analytics.
  • Manage relationship with Marketing Data and third-party teams (agencies and retainers).


BUSINESS REPORTING / DASHBOARDS + SCORECARDS

  • Manage the delivery and lead the next generation of the Category monthly routines and Quarterly Deep Dives.
  • Work with Category, CCL and OUs representing Platform Services teams to optimize and manage OU Dashboards and Scorecards.
  • Manage the delivery of integrated Shopper/RGM Performance dashboards and Opportunity identification tools with holistic connection to other business KIPs
  • Work with Platform Services to migrate, scale current and new reports into Power BI for increased accessibility/usage and flexibility.
  • Act as MAT ambassador, addressing training and driving the adoption of existing tools through SIMON platform.


Qualifications & Requirements:   

Functional Skills:

  • Independent & Outward Focused Point of View: Knowledge of the external environment in which the Company's business is conducted. Includes ability to offer a broad perspective that extends beyond a functional discipline and draw upon knowledge that comes from frequent interaction with different departments, employees and sources and constituencies outside of the Company.
  • Network/Resources: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.
  • Advantage: TCCC system knowledge is an important differential.
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques and tools for generating consumer insights and data exploration. Familiarity with multivariate data exploration techniques, econometrics/ROI analytics, and experimental design & interpretation is preferred.
  • Retail and Household Panel database knowledge: Strong knowledge of industry resources, custom research methodologies & common practices, for both take-home purchases and IC/AFH channels.
  • In-store activation Drivers: strong knowledge of in-store driver analytic methodologies
  • Data Storytelling – Simplicity is Key: Ability to simplify and persuasively communicate complex data into actionable insights to non-experts and cross-functional business stakeholders in a way that fosters action. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required. Experience with and working knowledge of statistics packages (R, SPSS, Python, SAS, etc.) and data manipulation (SQL, etc.) is a big plus. Mastery of basic reporting and data visualization using appropriate software


Related Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience, marketing analytics expertise. The required focus is on the relevance of the recent work they've done as it pertains to this role. Needs to have experience working across teams and geographies in a complex, global environment leading or leveraging teams of internal and external resources. Experience in a regional or global role preferred. Ideally needs to have worked in roles that have developed both strategic and operations capability. 


Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or Advanced Degree preferred
