Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. The Opportunity

The Analyst role will be responsible for the execution and analysis of database marketing campaigns for Ally’s lines of business. As an integral part of the database marketing team, this person will interact with business partners on the marketing team and line of business to identify targeted audiences, write code in SAS to execute marketing campaigns, and analyze campaign performance findings to identify opportunities for enhancements and better targeting.

Ally work locations Detroit MI or Charlotte NC- Hybrid schedule 3 days in office and 2 from home

The Work Itself

  • Participate in the upfront strategic planning process of developing targeted campaigns, including sizing and scenario testing
  • Translate business and marketing partner requirements into technical specifications
  • Write SAS code to execute targeted email/direct mail campaigns based on detailed customer characteristics, legal regulations, statistical models, and client requests
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, including statistical significance testing and business case analysis
  • Present campaign results to business and/or marketing partners
  • Oversee automated campaigns to ensure they’re running on time and accurately
  • Produce ad-hoc analyses, reports, data files around customer profiles, campaign results, and other marketing and credit card related data

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ years of professional experience in business analytics role required. Preferred experience in marketing campaign execution and analysis, financial services or credit card industry a plus
  • Strong technical abilities leveraging relational databases with minimum 1 year of experience using SAS or SQL required
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities and changing requirements
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability work independently
  • Experience with developing dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ability to ask the right questions to help define technical requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
