How will you make an impact?

Lead process engineering, engineering services teams to support business growth through NPI Project, improve material productivity and provide cost effective solution by cross functions cooperation, from R&D, PMO, to Sourcing and supplier.


What will you do?

  • Plan and monitor department budgets on an annual and quarterly basis. The budget includes personnel planning, departmental operating expenses, capital expenditures, and fixturing for new and existing products.
  • Identify and assign optimal projects to departmental members, including manufacturing engineers and technicians, to meet corporate and departmental goals. Develop the schedule and verify quality of these projects to assure they are completed satisfactorily and on time. Analyzes technology trends and human resource needs demand to plan projects.
  • Transfers of new products into production. This includes making sure the designs are manufacturable and have acceptable production yields. Work with Engineering to specify and procure necessary capital equipment and fixturing.
  • Work with the Process Development group and other production personnel to develop improved processes and tooling to reduce labor time and costs. This includes leading automation projects involving hardware and software.
  • Apply expertise and leadership skills to direct team and work with the suppliers to address technical challenges during projects 
  • Lead, manage, mentor, supervise, and develop team members. Provide direction for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities.
  • Lead team embrace PPI to continuously improve FPY to stabilize production
  • Maintain an understanding of safety policies and laws to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.


How will you get here?

Education:

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical Engineering, physical engineering, chemical engineering


Experience:

  • At least 10 years of industry experience in global analytical instruments and or medical device companies
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading a team
  • Solid understanding and expertise in analytical and or medical device design and development is preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other related process improvement tools
  • Experience with business transformation and organizational change related to automation, strongly preferred

  • Computer Skills: Extensive understanding of MS-Windows applications (Word, Excel, Project); JMP, Minitab, FactoryTalk Automation Software.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $155,900.00–$220,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
