We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Communication Manager, reporting into the Divisional Vice President, Americas, within the Heart Failure organization. The position will support the Heart Failure organization, including the commercial and leadership teams, on key initiatives across the business to ensure effective operations and strategies.


  • Develop strategy and drive execution of large-scale commercial communication initiatives for the Americas Commercial Heart Failure organization in close collaboration with sales leadership, sales operations, marketing, and other functional partners.
  • Support the strategic plan within business unit, including but not limited to facilitating communication to the field team in partnership with other key internal stakeholders, special project and product-specific launch messaging for team; strategic communications to bridge information gaps between in-house and commercial teams; develop plan to build awareness around key stakeholder needs and collaborative opportunities; build strategies to prioritize key initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support commercial excellence activities.
  • Analyze and improve organizational processes to support goals of commercial excellence by improving quality of communication within the commercial organization and support improved productivity and efficiency.
  • Partner with the commerical Heart Failure organization to develop solutions that can drive improved collaboration with external partners (such as physicians, hospitals and clinics).
  • Support annual President Club Award program design, communication and administration with the events agency and internal events team.
  • Support other Heart Failure programs as needed, including proactive programs and key strategies to drive Abbott’s heart failure leadership visibility.


  • University degree preferably in Business Administration or Communications
  • 5+ years of business experience in customer-facing and cross-functional roles with a mix of skills in communications, administration, customer analytics at multi brand/ multichannel organizations. Preferred Healthcare/Medical Devices Industry experience
  • Goal-oriented individual who brings structure, urgency, and creativity to complex challenges.
  • Passionate about driving business results while improving the lives of patients, meeting customer needs, and building strong teams.
  • Track record of project management and successfully leading large cross-matrix initiatives with executive stakeholders and fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and accountability.
  • Excellent insight into Commercial Excellence specific areas (operations/performance management, professional development and leadership training, personnel programs)
  • Ability to consider complex problems and distill into easily digestible language for the team
  • Strong strategic skills: proven track of successfully having used gained market knowledge and customer insights to feed into commercial strategy and plans
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and interact at all levels of the business from Executive level down
  • Excellent communication skills: fluency in English, additional language skills beneficial but not a must
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong level of initiative and assertiveness
