Manager, Talent Management, Inclusion & Diversity

Enabling organizational performance and progressing an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce, the Manager, Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity is responsible for developing, implementing and executing talent management programs as well as inclusion and diversity initiatives in the North America Region. Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity, the Manager, Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity works closely with site HR teams throughout the region, the corporate Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity function, and provides advice to internal stakeholders. The Manager, Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity also contributes to projects in support of the operations and functions in the region (e.g., organizational planning, talent development, leadership development, employee surveys, etc.).

 

What you will do

Talent Management

  • Develop, implement and manage programs and processes that support the talent management strategy in the region, including the annual performance management program, talent assessment & succession planning and expat assignment management
  • Measure the efficacy of talent strategies in support of our continuous improvement philosophy and propose development action plans based on organizational data and trends
  • Develop and deliver training and coaching in alignment with global talent philosophy, including leadership development and teaming
  • Design, deliver, and support employee engagement initiatives
  • Support the implementation of Talent Philosophy and Job Architecture
  • Contribute to other Talent Management workstreams and initiatives as needed 

 

Inclusion and Diversity

  • Project-manage the delivery of commitments as per the regional Inclusion & Diversity Strategy
  • Enable Business Resource Group (BRG) initiation efforts in the region and support BRG leaders and executive sponsors to progress programs aligned to the Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and business priorities
  • Partner with the global Inclusion and Diversity function and other regions to implement programs in the region to redefine talent systems across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Partner with global Workforce Planning and Analytics and global Inclusion and Diversity teams to measure and report on the delivery of the Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and track progress towards representation and development targets
  • Partner with HR teams and internal stakeholders to integrate inclusion and diversity across people decisions, programs and processes
  • Contribute to the development of an inclusion and diversity focused talent retention strategy
  • Partner with global Inclusion and Diversity team to develop and deliver skill building programs and upskill HR teams in the region to directly mentor and support leaders and employees
  • Partner with Sustainability and External Relations, Communications, Business Integrity and Compliance, Safety and Wellness teams and other internal operational partners to integrate inclusion and diversity throughout regional programs

Your training, skills and experience checklist

  • University degree in human resources, psychology, organizational development or another related field
  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years of human resources experience, preferably in talent development, succession planning, training, employee engagement or performance management
  • Excellent relationship management and collaborations skills across all levels, and an ability to influence others by establishing trust and credibility
  • Growth mindset paired with a strong desire to continuously seek out improvement opportunities 
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills along with facilitation and organizational change experience
  • Role modeling of inclusive behaviour with a proven dedication to personal learning, continuous improvement and cultural proficiency
  • Demonstrated contribution to building inclusive work environments and a diverse talent pool; understanding of dynamics and needs related to historically marginalized groups
  • Strong project management skills and experience converting strategy into actions through effective program development and implementation; attention to detail and complete follow-through; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables
  • Ability to work within a multinational corporation and collaborate across matrix relationships and cultures; ability to maintain a balanced regional perspective without losing sight of operationally relevant local nuances
  • Language proficiency in Spanish and/or French is desirable


Working Conditions and location

  • The position is located at the North America Regional Office in Vancouver, BC (with flexible work arrangements)
  • Position may require occasional travel to sites within the region (Canada, US and Mexico) and the corporate office (Denver, CO)
