Manager - Sustainability, Compliance and Testing

Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Manager - sustainability, Compliance and Testing to join the  Production team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. Marc Jacobs International is part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) fashion division and operates in the wholesale and direct to consumer retail markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate and track performance and chemical compliance testing for ready to wear, jewelry, tech products and novelty items from development through production
• Daily Correspondence and follow up with raw materials suppliers and factories regarding all testing needs
• Communicate test requirements to suppliers each season, onboard new suppliers
• Track shipment of test samples, maintain records of results, follow up with suppliers and labs to ensure deadlines are met
• Analyze test results, work with suppliers and MJ teams to resolve failures quickly
• Manage testing budget. Approve all test invoices from MJ nominated test lab, update invoice log and process with finance
• Partner with sustainability colleagues to help implement initiatives following company and global government policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion related field
• 4-6 years of experience in relevant field
• Strong with computers, able to learn new programs
• Self-starter, eager to get involved
• Detail Oriented
• Flexible personality who can change course quickly
• Team player who enjoys working with others
• Mandatory knowledge of regulatory compliance for US, REACH, California Prop65 and GB China
• Passion for sustainability, compliance and eco conscious
