Manager Retail Sales Strategy

New York, NY

The Retail Sales Development Manager has a lead role in developing and executing a strategy that enables the Retail Channel to transform into a sales revenue generating engine. The Retail Sales Development Manager will have a strong background in sales and coaching and will lead initiatives that focus on increasing month-over-month and year-over-year sales performance for retail stores on a national scale. With a heavy emphasis on sales coaching, he/she will lead a team of sales coaches responsible for sales development content creation, training and coaching across all Suddenlink and Optimum retail stores. 

  •  Create and support a culture built on coaching and development
  • Develop sales content that drive sales growth
  • Work cross-functionally with the Retail Strategy Team to implement new in-store initiatives
  • Identify sales performance gaps (to include analyzing store and RSA performance) and create initiatives that lead to gap closure
  • Work closely with Strategy team to assist with the creation of communication plans that support marketing initiatives, product offers/promotions, new product launches, and seasonal sales incentives
  • Project manage a diverse set of large-scale projects that require collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the organization (will be managing multiple projects).
  • Owning and fostering strong/healthy relationships with Retail Sales Directors and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Will serve as Retail Sales & Development SME.
  • Have the overall responsibility for end-to-end sales development (from planning, concept, design/development, execution, and monitoring performance)
  • Define projects, build related comprehensive work plan, and manage to the timeline and budget
  • Lead project teams as well as plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project
  • Use internal data analysis, competitive intelligence, and market trend data to formulate project strategy, delivery, and execution
  • Conduct research and analysis to make sound business decisions and formulate compelling recommendations
  • Perform needs assessment and data gathering to advance projects forward
  • Operationalize key initiatives across all retail stores
  • Support in the design, development, documentation and communication of new and existing policies, processes and procedures while also making sure the processes are standardized across all retail stores


Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of sales, coaching and development, and business management experience
  • 7+ years leadership experience
  • 5+ years industry experience in Communications, Telecom, Mobile, OEM Product Manufactures (a plus)
  • 5+ years Retail Store experience (a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, culture transformation,and leadership development
  • Exceptional time management, working with cross-functional teams, and excels in matrix management environments
