The Retail Sales Manager (RSM) manages the day to day operations of an Altice USA Retail Store(s) focusing on best practices and instilling a sales culture.


The RSM ensures adherence to documented policies and procedures, meets and exceeds sales and revenue goals by focusing on quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. Serves as the key liaison between Corporate, Field Management, Marketing and Sales Operations. The RSM is a great communicator that consistently promotes quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork.


The Retail Sales Manager, of Sales Operations, and is responsible for executing sales policy, process and procedure, documentation, and communication of corporate initiatives. Working collaboratively with all stakeholders, this position is responsible for ensuring that the retail location(s) are operationally ready on a daily basis.


The Retail Sales Manager builds a high performing sales team that consistently drives sales, promotes Altice USA services, and enhances the customer experience. The RSM uses state of the art reporting metrics to ensure compliance with Company goals and standards.


This position has a lead role in coordinating the development and communication of corporate initiatives to be implemented by the Retail Sales channel and supporting groups. Inclusive of this responsibility are:

  • The Retail Sales Manager ensures that external and internal customers are provided a superior experience that aligns to the Company's values.
  • Plans and executes store initiatives and tactics. Develops processes, structure, and feedback mechanisms to support initiatives and tactics, as appropriate. Defines financial and operational benefits as part of the planning process and measures results post-implementation.
  • Implement retail sales channel strategies to grow market awareness for the Altice USA brand and services offered
  • This position actively drives the sales culture within the store(s) and actively seeks to enhance the customer experience with Altice products and services.
  • The Retail Sales Manager partners with the Director of Retail Operations to develop and implement key performance sales tactics designed to exceed the budgeted goals.
  • This position has intimate knowledge of all operational policies and procedures, and ensures compliance to these documented standards.
  • Identifies, develops, and motivates the retail store team to optimize revenue with each customer interaction.
  • Represents the Retail Sales Channel in cross functional meetings with supporting departments such as Marketing and Advertising, Product, Billing and Collections, E-Commerce to ensure clear communication and execution of directives to front-line employees.
  • This position also includes the responsibilities of ensuring that all sales and operations processes are accurate, updated when necessary and being adhered to.
  • This position works closely with the Training Department in the development of Sales Training documentation for communication to the front line Sales personnel.
  • Assists in standardizing all retail sales policies and procedures across the Altice USA footprint.
  • Conducts retail store visits on a consistent basis to deliver performance feedback and address any concerns
  • Participates in and provides feedback to the Training Department to address the short and long term needs of the business.
  • The RSM is responsible for all corrective action and disciplinary action for the location(s) that they oversee. The partner with Human Resources to ensure that all corrective actions are approved and delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Verifies commission reporting is accurate and addresses outliers.
  • A candidate for this position must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years business management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Postgraduate degree in Business preferred.
  • Ability to establish and document clearly defined goals and objectives for direct reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management leadership.
  • Exceptional forecasting capabilities.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and other design software applications.
  • Ability to travel from one location to another as needed.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Project Planning and Management.
  • Process Management.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
