The People team at Coursera is responsible for building our teams, retaining our amazing talent, and developing programs that create community and promote employee betterment. Our People Services team acts as the first point of contact for HR related concerns for employees. We are looking for a People Services Manager to lead a growing team of Tier 1 and Tier 2 specialists to deliver consistent and quality HR service to Courserians and to respond to the rapid growth of our company. The ideal candidate for this role is familiar with delivering their HR services through a case management solution like ServiceNow, operates with a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced environment. It will likely be second nature to the successful candidate to draft a process map to show process improvement opportunities identified in their data and there are always up-to-date operating procedures to match the global service catalog.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a growing team responsible for providing support to our employees throughout their full employee lifecycle (onboarding, benefits admin, performance cycles, leaves of absence and offboarding)
  • Your team will also deliver HRIS analyst operations support for our global population (Workday processes, delivery of reports and system admin of other People technology systems)
  • You will manage and deliver this service via ServiceNow and use the functionality to offer operational insights and service data to stakeholders 
  • Develop and monitor standard HR Services operating procedures to ensure a high quality and consistent service delivery model
  • Actively engage in problem/conflict resolution, providing coaching, counseling, training, and development, as needed
  • Own HR compliance for Americas in close partnership with legal and finance on everything from EEO-1 filings, 5550s, OSHA, Wage and Hour laws, etc.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Possesses human resources knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading HR services via a case management solution and operating within service levels; demonstrated experience reporting functionality to show back service delivered on behalf of stakeholder groups
  • Experience with improving and automating operational processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations
  • 1-2 years people management experience
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Workday experience 
  • Has supported setting up and growing HR services support
  • Collaborative work style
