Manager, Operations Loss Prevention

Enfield, CT

Bring your energy and experience to help identify sources of loss in the retail chain, and create innovative ways to prevent and reduce shrink.


Core Responsibilities

Process Management

  • Manage preparation and process for semi-annual full physical inventory counts and weekly/monthly/ad-hoc cycle counts, coordinating with 3rd party inventory vendors.
  • Work with Finance, Business Intelligence, and IT development teams to formalize global retail audit process, and concurrently improve stock control programs and functionality.
  • Work with global counterparts to develop aligned Loss Prevention programming and reporting formats, including feedback loops and key reflections for leadership transparency.


Data Analysis

  • Analyze internal data sources to identify types of product loss, categorizing store-level shrink and supply chain shrink, and recommend loss prevention and reduction measures.
  • Work with the Operations/Distribution teams that manage freight carrier relationships for process improvements.


Fraud Investigation

  • Work with HR resources to improve and conduct LP-related investigation processes and support DM leadership in conjunction with 3rd Party investigation vendors and resources.


Partnering

  • Work with EHS, Security, Finance, Business Service Operations, Fraud Prevention and other departments to improve leadership-level and store-level loss prevention capabilities, including business continuity and contingency planning.
  • Develop DM-level and store-level training, onboarding and communication programs targeting loss prevention scope, including exception-based point-of-sale controls.
  • Work with Retail Expansion team to review crime, violence, and other risk levels of new and existing store locations.
  • Work with New Retail Platform team to develop loss prevention-based hardening features for in-store fixtures and equipment.
  • Support the District Managers by providing analytical and partnering support during investigations.


Play your part in our team succeeding

The Loss Prevention Manager will play an important role within the LEGO Retail Operations team, identifying sources of potential or realized product loss throughout the supply chain and developing mitigation plans. They will partner with finance and business intelligence departments to develop reporting and analysis of product shrink. They will partner with EHS and Security departments where product loss overlaps with occupational safety and site security loss, creating risk assessments and developing programming and training improvements. They will support operations and district leadership to analyze patterns in exception-based reporting and oversee administrative and store-level investigations.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or science-related field or equivalent working experience. Preferred advanced degree in business-related field or criminal justice-related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in retail operations, including experience with supply chain and inventory management, as well as asset protection program management.
  • Experience with fraud prevention, including exception-based reporting analysis, pattern identification, and implementation of action plans.
  • Experience with a fraud investigation, including program management, restitution agreements, and partnership with law enforcement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in sensitive, non-technical, and complex topics.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret master data sources and discern patterns and trends.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within team settings.


Preferred:

  • LPQ, LPC, CPP, or CFI certification.
  • Wicklander-Zulawski certification
  • Experience working with SAP
