Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy

San Francisco, CA

This role will support the Central Marketing Planning and Strategy team operationalize and drive the end-to-end processes around marketing planning, strategy, operations and critical initiatives. This individual will support the dynamic growth of the marketing organization by building streamlined processes and frameworks to support all financial and operational processes. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, outstanding at handling large datasets, and an excellent collaborator and communicator.


Responsibilities

  • Budget and spend management: oversight and management of spend across the marketing organization; liaison between marketing and finance to ensure accuracy in reporting and expense recognition
  • Track and update reports and executive decks to support business needs for both planning and headcount reporting as well as ad hoc requests for upper management. Ability to work in Salesforce tools to provide informative trending and analysis
  • Design, implement, and streamline reports and dashboards using Salesforce platforms to track key metrics like spend to performance efficiencies for consolidated marketing budgets. Provide informative trending and analysis to key partners
  • Connect with business partners within marketing and across the wider organization and act as a key source of insights; document and provide enablement where necessary
  • Build a detailed database of interactive historicals that is dynamic; leverage this database as the organization continues to grow and transform
  • Track end of quarter spend and execution and ensure partners are held accountable for PO’s not approved. Manage weekly reporting and meetings related to marketing activity updates for respective partners. Provide ongoing training to internal teams based on accounting rules and recognition


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Finance, Analytics, and/or Business Operations
  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
  • Motivated, proactive self-starter able to work independently
  • Advanced Excel skills required. Must be quick to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Detail oriented and creative
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work and collaborate with worldwide teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial background a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP based accounting recognition policies preferred *LI-Y

California Salary: $132,800 - $182,600
