We are looking for a Manager, Growth & Performance Marketing who will lead our direct marketing efforts at Voila to pioneer new and innovative ways to drive customer acquisition and performance results.


You will be responsible for overall planning, forecasting and optimization across the performance marketing budget to profitably acquire and retain customers and support ongoing efforts to build brand awareness, consideration, trial, and profitable business growth.


This role is equal parts digital expertise and competency in driving sales and will be measured on sales KPIs.


Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Define and lead our paid media and SEO acquisition strategy (including execution on Social, Search and Display platforms), developing, recommending, and executing marketing strategies across a variety of paid and organic channels.
  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of brand marketing strategy, translating into mid to lower funnel tactics.
  • Define targeting and personalization strategy, based on brand plan, leveraging owned and shared audience data to connect with the right consumers.
  • Build and scale complex online and offline marketing campaigns, using insights to fuel creative solutions incorporating analytical expertise to optimize performance and drive ROI.
  • Set growth and performance benchmarks and establish analytics and dashboarding for key performance criteria maintaining key performance metrics reports 
  • Budget and Forecast: Responsible for budget management (multi-million dollar direct marketing budget) across channels to meet performance and business goals
  • Responsible for the management of vendor relationships with external vendors (Agencies, Meta, Google, etc.) 
  • Actively identify opportunities for new high-potential channels to test and incorporate into the broad acquisition plan; utilize customer data and primary research findings
  • Lead Voila Affiliate program, defining role for the channel within the partnership strategy; determine strategy that optimizes for acquisition and customer retention. 


What you have to offer:

  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years Performance and Growth Marketing experience in retail managing a national acquisition program
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Economics, Applied Statistics or other quantitative field (MA or MBA preferred) 
  • Significant experience managing multi-million dollar direct response marketing budgets across all platforms and all device types
  • Recent experience with hands-on development and optimization of large-scale online acquisition campaigns (i.e. not agency managed)
  • Intimate knowledge and experience with Google and Meta is required
  • Unparalleled analytical skills with the ability to promptly establish priorities and communicate expectations.
  • Proven experience developing intricate targeting strategy and personalized audience approach across platforms
  • Proven experience developing digital programs, as well as monitoring and refining existing programs to meet the company’s objectives, strategies, and forecasts.
  • Demonstrable expertise in search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media and digital advertising
  • Experience with lead generation/acquisition and digital campaign management
  • Relevant Google Marketing Platform Certifications required
  • Experience using Enterprise Digital Analytics platforms required, GA360 and GA4 experience is preferred
  • Experience using A/B testing platforms 
  • Experience using enterprise level Content Management System (CMS), Product Information Management System (PIM), Digital Asset management (eDam) and CRM applications required
  • Experience with Salesforce and Opentext an asset
  • Basic technical understanding of HTML and strong SEO skill
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation in digital marketing landscape (ex Quebec Law 25 or GDPR) strongly preferred
  • Fluency in web analytics tools, social media marketing applications and leading social media monitoring platforms
  • Strong understanding of how brand marketing marketing, PR, e-mail marketing and social media interact and drive overarching business objectives and customer experience design goals
