A little bit about our team:
The Recorded Music (RM) Finance team provides coordination and support for all analysis and executive reporting throughout WMG RM. The department provides operating performance/delivery tracking, market analysis, competitive analysis, risk management, strategic opportunities and ad-hoc projects as required by the business.
Your role:
As a member of the RM finance team, you will gain experience working closely with executive leadership as well as the labels, corporate, accounting and A/R, A/P.Primary responsibilities include financial data analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Here you’ll get to:
- Supervise and analyze monthly digital revenue by digital service provider (DSP) and provide commentary against forecast, budget and prior year.
- Prepare monthly financial review packages detailing global digital revenue broken down by Paid and Ad Supported
- Collect, analyze and report on key performance indicators and highlight trends in DSP performance
- Liaise with Business Development and Legal to track DSP deal negotiations
- Analyze and evaluate contracts with digital service providers to assess revenue and financial impacts of deals.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting and month-end actuals reporting
About you:
- BA in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of financial planning & analysis, strategic planning, or corporate accounting experience required.
- Sophisticated proficiency in the use of Excel and PowerPoint with an emphasis on sophisticated modeling, graphing and visual presentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial concepts and analysis to non-financial partners.
We’d love it if you also had:
- Experience with accounting and financial applications software; Hyperion Financial Management/Smartview Reporting, and SAP experience/knowledge preferred.
- Music industry experience highly preferred.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $97,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
