Manager, Executive Compensation

This position is an in-office role, 3 to 4 days per week, and will be based in the NYC Metropolitan area.


We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Executive Compensation to join our team.  In this role, you will support the organization’s leaders to execute AIG’s executive compensation programs and strategies in alignment with AIG’s leadership priorities, and priorities of the Compensation and Management Resources Committee of AIG’s Board of Directors.  This role reports to the Vice President, Executive Compensation.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of compensation materials for review and approval by senior management and the Compensation & Management Resources Committee (CMRC) of the AIG Board
  • Support development of executive compensation disclosures, including the AIG Annual Proxy Statement
  • Help with market analyses of peer practices and executive compensation positions
  • Review and assist the approval of AIG’s cash compensation and equity grants to senior executives, including those under the purview of the CMRC.
  • Facilitate the development and administration of plans and programs designed to attract, retain and motivate AIG’s senior most executives from new hire offer through their career at AIG
  • Aid in the compensation activities and due diligence related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Partner with colleagues in HR, Legal, Finance and Risk on all matters within the scope of the role including plan document review, risk review of compensation plans and financial accruals.


Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Executive Compensation or related area strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis and qualitative research, and present data in executive ready presentations
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Knowledge of/ or strong desire to learn SEC, accounting, tax and legal compliance and regulations governing executive compensation
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to lead cross functional global projects
  • Demonstrated expert level Excel skills
  • Minimum BA education, preferred, in quantitative area, e.g., finance, accounting

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $84,000 - $110,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
