Manager, Executive Communications and Channel Content

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Executive Communications and Channel Content who will play a pivotal role in orchestrating a range of strategic communications aimed at informing and inspiring the company’s key stakeholders. This position will be a hybrid role based out of any of the following Eaton locations; Beachwood OH, Moon Twp PA, Raleigh NC, Irvine CA, Galesburg MI, Highland IL, Syracuse NY, Southfield MI, Arden NC, Charlotte NC, Ft Worth TX, Dallas TX, Eden Prairie MN, Peachtree City GA, or Tualatin OR. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What will you do?

This role involves crafting and executing targeted communication strategies for various stakeholders, providing broad communications support for select Eaton functions, and evaluating initiatives’ impact. 

Executive Communications: the manager creates engaging and persuasive content that spans a variety of formats, including presentations, media and video scripts, blogs, speeches, and social media posts, all aimed at supporting Eaton’s leadership; this role also oversees a digital library of executive biographies and maintains the leadership pages on its website. 

Public Affairs: collaborates to elevate awareness of Eaton’s role in supporting governments around the world accelerate the energy transition, produces newsletters and other communications on behalf of the team. 

Community Affairs: promotes Eaton’s community engagement and focus on improving our communities.

Legal Department: leads strategic communication planning, creating content that supports the function’s leaders and the broader legal team.

Communication Channel Management: offers strategic advice and supervises the content across internal communication channels and methods, including digital displays, the intranet news site, Eaton’s Viva Engage channels, and Office 365 tools. 


What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Journalism, Communications, Marketing Communications, or a related Public Relations role.

The candidate should be a skilled content creator capable of crafting compelling messages across various formats and channels. Strong research skills and exceptional attention to detail are essential.

The ability to manage and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated accountability for outcomes is required. A thorough understanding of digital strategy, platforms, and tools, coupled with a commitment to utilizing these to enhance communications, is expected. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborative work while also being able to drive projects independently. Creativity, a passion for developing new programs and initiatives, and a continuous improvement mindset are vital. Lastly, a dedication to learning and receptiveness to feedback is crucial for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Journalism, Communications, Marketing Communications or Public Relations related role.
  • No relocation being offered for this position candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood OH, Moon Twp PA, Raleigh NC, Irvine CA, Galesburg MI, Highland IL, Syracuse NY, Southfield MI, Arden NC, Charlotte NC, Ft Worth TX, Dallas TX, Eden Prairie MN, Peachtree City GA, or Tualatin OR to be considered.
