Your mission:

Help define the corporate narrative of Kabbage, an American Express company, leading critical aspects of external and internal communications. 


What you'll be doing:

  • Ideating, crafting and telling relevant stories that deeply connect with small businesses.
  • Supporting PR priorities, from media relations to event support and corporate communications materials. 
  • Leading Kabbage’s social media profiles, building content that engages its followers and attracts new ones.
  • Overseeing external communications and brand activities such as influencer campaigns and analyst relations to further enhance the Kabbage story to new and existing audiences.

Assists in the development and coordination of employee communications activities. Assists in the implementation of policies and programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of company activities affecting employees.


What you should have:

  • 4+ years of communications and/or media relations experience. 
  • Proven track-record of developing and earning stories with top-tier publications and other relevant outlets.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with managing influencer campaigns from end-to-end 
  • A strong sense of story—understanding what makes content compelling across a variety of formats including:
  • Keynote presentations and internal communications
  • Long-form written content such as executive bylines
  • Short-form media, from social posts to video clips
  • An innate ability to adapt; you should be someone who enjoys an environment where every day is different.
  • An unmatched attention to detail. You do not let things fall through the cracks.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, honest communications.
  • A passion for small businesses; you know that doing the best for the customer requires a collaborative approach and a no-ego mindset to work in partnership across teams.
