Manager, Analytics and Insights

The Analytics & Insights Manager will oversee Capcom USA’s Analytics & Insights team and work with the Director, Business Operations to establish and execute Capcom USA’s analytics strategy. This position works closely with multiple departments within Capcom USA to identify and execute data-driven initiatives and collaborates with Capcom Europe and Capcom Japan data analytics and insights teams to contribute to global analytics efforts. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to communicate data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.   

  

Supervision Exercised: Manages Data Analysts


Responsibilities:  

  • Team leadership: provide guidance and mentorship to data analysts.
  • Partner with multiple departments to understand business objectives, align KPIs/metrics with strategic goals, and identify new and more effective ways to integrate data and insights into decision making processes and strategy development.
  • Work with data analysts to analyze consumer/marketing data, deliver regular reports, and present analysis and insights to Capcom USA staff, leadership, and executive management. Establish and document best practices and efficiencies for reporting and analysis.
  • Create clear and insightful data visualizations, including preparing reports and dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute Analytics/Insights projects, which includes developing detailed project plans, tracking project performance, and driving day-to-day activities to achieve project goals.
  • Serve as main point of contact for Analytics/Insights initiatives, proactively communicating project status to key stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders, including Capcom Japan and Capcom Europe.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Assist Director of Business Operations on other duties as needed.

Required Experience & Skills:  

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Advanced knowledge in Excel.  
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with staff of all levels and divisions, including executive management, as well as internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize initiatives effectively, and learn new skill sets and data tools quickly.
  • Strong project management skills, ideally in data analytics, market research, and/or consumer insights.
  • Able to work with teams in multiple locations and different time zones.


Nice to have:  

  • People management experience, especially in data analytics, market research, or consumer insights.
  • Experience with syndicated data tools such as GWI, Circana, Fancensus, and Nielsen.
  • Experience with survey creator tools such as Toluna QuickStart or Survey Monkey.
  • Experience working with project management and data tools, particularly Jira and Tableau.
  • Experience in code programming, especially SQL or Python.
  • Strong interest in console/PC video games.


Bilingual English/Japanese a plus.


Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively complex related experience in analytics, market research, consumer insights, or related areas, preferably in video game industry.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift objects of up to 25 pounds in weight. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 *Compensation for this position will be determined based on relevant factors including, but not limited to, experience and qualification.
