Manager, Accounting & Controllership

We are seeking a Manager of Accounting & Controllership to work in partnership with operational leaders and other Finance business partners to support strategic decision making. Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance & Digital Technology, the successful candidate will also manage the general ledger, close cycle, and support monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership and coaching to the Finance team; foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment and a culture of continuous improvement within Finance
  • Financial Controls & Processes: Develop, direct, plan, and evaluate accounting policies and procedures; manage intercompany and fixed asset accounting
  • Financial Operations & Systems: Manage planning and direction of accounting activities, including the maintenance of the ledger and financial statements; coordinate credit review and collection of unpaid bills
  • Compliance & Reporting: Conduct or assist in the documentation of cost, government, and project accounting 
  • Coach, train, and inspire a team of two to three direct reports to a higher level of success and accountability
  • Set key performance standards for the finance team


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA designation required
  • Minimum eight years’ progressive Finance experience in a Corporate Controller environment
  • Proven ability to establish trusted relationships across the organization
  • Excellent MS Office skills are required, especially Excel
  • Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven track record of motivating, training, and coaching others to a higher level of success and accountability

Raytheon ELCAN offers a competitive compensation package that includes signing bonus, annual incentive program, benefits, and pension plan. 


The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal reference check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
