Litigation Legal Specialist

San Jose, CA

We are a close-knit and collaborative team, and are seeking a hard-working, resourceful, and positive legal specialist to join us. Our team manages Adobe’s worldwide litigations and intellectual property protection investigations. You will play a key role in defending the Company from litigation threats of all types and ensuring the protection of our intellectual property. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience with litigation matters that technology companies encounter on an everyday basis!


What You’ll Do

This full-time position will be based in Adobe’s headquarters in San Jose, CA.

As a Legal Specialist, you are a driving force behind the success of our team. Get ready to build and improve processes, handle our matter management tools, and coordinate projects both within our team and across the organization.


Under the supervision of our team members, you will:

  • Assist in responding to third-party subpoenas, disputes brought in small claims court, and customer issues raised to state regulatory agencies.
  • Lead all aspects of matter management for worldwide litigation matters, including building out our system and processes from the ground up and reporting out on matters.
  • Conduct electronic discovery tasks, including constructing searches for use in document collection and handling document review database administration and support.
  • Identify areas for improvements in various litigation processes and develop, implement, and streamline methodologies.
  • Support and build positive relationships with cross-functional teams in Adobe Legal (including the Employment, Privacy, Antitrust, and Patent teams) that the Litigation team partners with.


Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Work experience in a related field preferred but not required, preferably 1-3 years working at a law firm or with an in-house legal team
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of all project deliverables while managing competing priorities
  • Be independently resourceful and with a strong problem-solving initiative
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Desire to learn and tackle new things
  • Familiarity with document review tools such as Relativity or Nuix preferred but not required
