Legal Operations Associate

The Contracts and Legal Operations team is focused on improving and maintaining the Legal team's internal processes, systems, and technology tools by providing direct support to internal and external Legal stakeholders. As a Legal Operations Associate, you will be responsible for providing support across a diverse range of Legal initiatives, including: vendor/financial management & legal spend (global), vendor procurement and compliance, insurance management, IP portfolio management, contract negotiation and management (global), legal knowledge management, resolving cross-functional issues related to legal operations, increasing overall operational effectiveness by implementing new technologies and policies, and managing special/ad-hoc legal-related projects.

Impact in this Role

As Fictiv’s first Legal Operations Associate, you will have an opportunity to make a dramatic impact in the following areas: strategic planning, financial management (both internal operating budget and outside counsel budget), vendor management and compliance, internal resource management, technology management, process creation and improvement, knowledge management, and metrics and analytics.


You will report to the Legal Operations Manager.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide administrative support to the Legal team, including contract filing, document management, Operations and InfoSec compliance management, and assisting with the company's foreign subsidiary formation and management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, share best practices, and improve efficiency with the Legal team’s organizational structure, systems, technologies and controls.
  • Partner with internal and external business partners to manage Legal team initiatives, and assist with the implementation and operation of Legal Department tools, including status reports and task tracking.
  • Work directly with stakeholders (internal and external) and vendors to review, draft, negotiate, and maintain various commercial agreements and records, with a focus on Non-Disclosure Agreements and Vendor Onboarding and Compliance documentation.
  • Conduct research to facilitate development of subject-matter expertise in areas relevant to the legal team work.
  • Support and manage various ad hoc projects within the team as needed.
