Legal Internship

This opportunity represents a relationship between SS&E and an individual to provide practical experiences in the practice of law. 


The selected individual will gain experience through hands-on work, consisting of supporting the SS&E legal department by drafting contracts, discussing legal concerns with other SS&E departments, and conducting research on relevant legal issues (including sports, media, and contract law). 


The eligible individual should meet a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: ability to maintain confidential documents and files, handle multiple tasks, positive attitude, and pays close attention to details and have strong organizational skills. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Conduct legal research regarding industry issues and/or concerns and provide summaries of findings.
  • Monitor, track and assist with drafting and reviewing internal and external contracts.
  • Draft cease and desist letters and other outside communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Who You Are:  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, LexisNexis and other computer skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Strong teamwork aptitude required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong good oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Stable Wi-Fi and phone access provided at off-site work location for consistent and reliable connectivity and communication.
  • Availability of adequate technology to facilitate the adequate performance of the duties under remote working conditions.
