The Legal team at Ava Labs is seeking an organized, dedicated, and incredibly competent Legal Administrative Assistant that will make sure we stay organized, efficient, and growing in synchrony. This position will play a key role in building a world class legal department for one of the most dynamic technology companies on the planet, ensuring alignment and efficiency in the execution of critical tasks. This position includes working closely with the finance team to foster seamless communication and coordination between departments.


  • Administrative Support & Workflow Optimization: Provide dedicated administrative assistance to the legal and finance teams, facilitating workflows from contract provisioning to report preparation. This role will be central to refining and enhancing legal and finance-related projects
  • Record-Keeping and Project Management: Provide comprehensive and meticulous record keeping and workflow support for both legal and finance teams, ensuring deadlines are met and preventing tasks from falling through the cracks 
  • Compliance Function Support: Assist in fulfilling the team's compliance-related work, such as document preparation for Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures
  • Protocol Management: Regularly review, update, and maintain internal legal and compliance protocols and procedures to ensure up-to-date practices 
  • Role-specific Support: Provide personalized, administrative and organizational support to other team members, tailored to the unique needs of their responsibilities


  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree 
  • 1+ years experience in an administrative or secretarial role
  • Experience at a law firm, tech company, or in-house legal department is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid environment with onsite being in the NYC area

  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in document preparation, proofreading, and handling of legal paperwork and processes
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle various tasks and adapt to changing priorities 
  • Technical Proficiency: familiarity with GSuite, Box, DocuSign, overall database management, and legal software preferred 
  • Problem Solving: A proactive attitude to take ownership, anticipate needs, and independently seek ways to contribute to team efficiency 
  • Teamwork: A collaborative and persistent mindset to work seamlessly with teams across functions

Salary Range: $76,400 to $95,400
