Our Engineering Standards and Governance is looking for a Lead System Engineer - Microservices Architect who is passionate about building API’s and has analytical and multi-task abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


The Microservices Architect is responsible for reviewing the long-term technological roadmap, ensuring that cross functional product, delivery and business teams are working in concert to deliver business value. The candidate has an intimate knowledge of the current state of the business and technology and implements the plan to achieve the desired future state.


Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

  • Cloud development of APIs and Microservices, Experience modeling RESTful solution using Swagger is a plus
  • Facilitates business requirements analysis and functional design work sessions including creating business presentations, communications, and documentation
  • Experience writing technical stories in JIRA/confluence using industry standard notations
  • Ability to analyze system interaction issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including comprehension and verbal skills, written communication, conflict resolution, teamwork and cooperation, and relationship building
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, API design best practices
  • Experience with web technologies, cloud and mobile
  • Strong process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills
  • Creates functional requirement and scope documentation using existing templates
  • Document functional, integration, and testing requirements as well as SLAs and operating level agreements
  • Leads technology cost/resource estimates and input to business cases
  • Lead functional design including demonstrations to stakeholders to validate approach
  • Participates and collaborates with other teams to ensure successful PI planning sessions


Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science
  • 5-8 years of practical experience in system analysis, working with the client on the requirements and processes definition, in a variety of complex situations
  • Familiar with ecommerce, digital platforms
  • Microservices concepts(Kubernetes, spring boot, nodejs)
  • DevOps concepts
  • SRE concepts like Performance, Reliability, Resiliency


Our Lead System Engineers earn between $143,800-$215,800 Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Salary Range:  $143,800.00 - $215,800.00
