Lead Product Designer

New York, NY

The Product Design team at Zola is made up of creative problem-solvers who are passionate about making the best experience for Zola couples throughout their wedding planning journey, and beyond.


Zola is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Commerce team. The Commerce team is responsible for vital experiences across Zola such as the Registry and Paper products. This is a collaborative environment where you will partner closely with fellow designers, product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams.


The ideal candidate is in NYC or Montreal, but remote applicants are welcome.


What You'll Do

  • You'll design responsive web experiences that wow our couples and vendors, and meet business goals.
  • You'll deliver across the full end-to-end spectrum of product design responsibilities, from early research, to ensuring the final build matches your visual designs.
  • You'll distill practical solutions from complex challenges in a user-centric, data-informed feedback loop.
  • You’ll define the vision and lead the team through execution of all scope of projects.
  • You’ll delegate to and mentor other designers on the team, to aid in their growth potential.
  • You'll contribute to the design team as a whole, whether through component library documentation or suggesting ideas for better design ops.
